Astray In Love Season 6

Ayomide: Am not kidding, am very serious
Me: Alright if you said so. ****Looking at her**** “Can it be true” I thought to myself. “What if i later find out that you lying to me” i asked passionately
Ayomide: Why do i have to lie to you
Me: Anyway! That’s not a problem, it doesn’t stops me from loving you
Ayomide: Are you sure
Me: Of cause Yes
Ayomide: Thank you dear

I did not have the intention of having s-x with her in the first place, i was only trying my luck, it’s something i haven’t done before. I was born and brought up from a good Christian family, and all this while, i haven’t have s-x with any girl. I’ve kissed and hugged twice before. I do pretend to have have s-x whenever such topics came up between my friends and i. I will sometimes narrate how i have s-x with my girlfriends with the aid of the p--n video that I’ve watched when i was in secondary school.

Before she left that day, i asked her to say hello to my neighbour. Mummy Teni was very happy when she saw her “Neighbour! u carry eyes go market ooo” she said jokingly. We all laughed! “You know say i no fit carry last na” i replied. Ayomide was just feeling shy, she wasn’t that contributing to what we are discussing. I understand she wanted to leave, she has been checking her time, “she has to leave now because of the traffic on the road” i said to mummy teni. “Yeah, it’s true ooo” she replied.
It already half past four, i picked up my bike key and we took off to the park. She was very lucky as she was the last passenger to had join the vehicle going to sango. “Call me as soon as u gets home” i requested as her vehicle took off.
When i got home, i kept on wondering if truly Ayomide is what she claims to be. I decided to let go of everything and hope she doesn’t fails me. After about 1 hour, she called and informed me that she had arrived safely. I was a day i been waiting for, i truly loved her and I’m ready to prove my love for her no matter the situation.

After about six months, things were going on as expected, i wished we could be staying together, talking on phone and seeing each other once in two month is not that enough. She’s is all I’ve got, i so much loved her and she also loved me. Lot of our friends are just too jealous of us, we are just too perfect for each other as we can’t do without each other.

Just as our love was becoming more and more interesting, nomination for operation in the northeastern part of the country hit my unit headquarter. There is no doubt, soldiers will definitely be requested from my unit. The fear that took over me wasn’t as a result of if in anyway i was nominated for the operation but i can’t just bear it leaving the love of my life for a second, we all know the country is seriously fighting insecurity in the northeastern part. At last, i was very happy when it was concluded that all young soldiers should be left out of the nomination as the unit will not be playing full artillery role in the operation. After 3 days, everything turned around when the commander ordered the adjutant to nominate another 50 soldiers that will be play pure artillery role. “This time around we are going to select the best out of the best” the 2ic said while addressing us. “Even if you hide yourself, the recommendation that came alongside your file from Artillery School in Kaduna State will definitely bring you out. So prepare your mind for this operation” The unit RSM shocked me with this words just as the parade was dismissed, leaving me in an ocean of thought. I was unable to eat that night as i thought of the fact that i will be leaving the love of my life behind.
Oh lord! Please help me remove my name for this list. These are the word i kept repeating before Ayomide’s call came in. “What will i tell her now” i thought to myself before picking the call.

Me: Hello Dear
Ayomide: My Baby
Me: How are doing?
Ayomide: Am fine and you
Me: Am Cool jare
Ayomide: How is today’s work
Me: We thank God ooo
Ayomide: But why is your voice kind of dull, any problem
Me: Not at all
Ayomide: Common! You don’t use to answer me like this now
Me: There is no problem jare, just that I’m missing you
Ayomide: ****Laughing**** when last did we see each other that you’ve started missing me
Me: Am i suppose to have interval that i will be missing you
Ayomide: Hmmm! Ok ooo, maybe i will come over this weekend
Me: Maybe?
Ayomide: ****Laughing**** Alright i will come
Me: Ok dear
Ayomide: Have you eaten
Me: Am not even hungry
Ayomide: Just like that, dear hope everything is fine
Me: You know i will not lie to you na
Ayomide: Ok ooo
Me: Later dear
Ayomide: Alright dear
Me: Love you
Ayomide: Love you too
I was too cold to tell Ayomide what am really facing, i just want to see her even if it will be the last time. On fourth day at work, i met with my clerk in order to confirmed if my name was included, but he was unable to help me out with my request. “The 2ic is the one compiling the names” he concluded.

That weekend, Ayomide called me that she’s already on the way, i just free up my mind as if nothing is happening. Most of the intelligent personnel at the gate now recognized her, i need not to go and pick her anymore. I’ve already prepared noodles before she came, after we finished eating she returned the dishes to the kitchen and wash them. The heat in the was just too much because the PHCN has taken the light some hours before she came. “I want to take my bath” she requested. “Let me take my bath first” I suggested. “No problem dear” She replied. After i finished bathing, i gave her my second towel, she then removed her clothes right in from of me. “Omo see pointing br*st and well shaved p**sy ooo” I thought to my self. Instantly, my eyes reacting to what i saw send a message to my brain and my brain then passes the message to the whole of my system. My system, reacting to the message sent from the brain make me gained 100% erection. I did not allow her to noticed as i was lying on the bed with my legs fold, she tie the towel around her chest and went to took her bath.

Immediately she left, series of thought start running through my mind.
“Should i make a move when she comes out”
“But she might get angry ooo”
“But I’ve tried enough since all this while na”
“Why did she even remove her clothes in front of me in the first place”
“Maybe she wants to use it to test me ooo”
“But what is my name is among those that are going to this operation”
“Won’t i loose this girl with everything I’ve done for her”
I was still in thought when she came out of the bathroom. “What should i do now” i asked myself….

Astray In Love Season 5

I’ve never woke up as early as 05:30am on weekends unless if am going to resumed a duty by 06:00am, “Gush! Just 05:30” i sighed, rolling from one side of my mattress to the other. I jumped up and prayed, brush my mouth as if i was going to advertise “Close Up”, i decided to start preparing the food since everything i needed are available. At about half past 7, i pick up my phone and called Ayomide.
Me: ****Ringing****
Ayomide: Good morning ****In a cracked voice****
Me: Morning! How was your night
Ayomide: Fine and you
Me: Splendid…. This one that you are sounding like this, don’t tell me you’re still on bed
Ayomide: Before nko! What did u expect
Me: Jesus!
Ayomide: ****Smiling****
Me: Still on bed! When I’ve been anticipating you
Ayomide: I thought we had deal
Me: Yeah! Sure!!
Ayomide: So relax!
Me: Alright!
Ayomide: What are you doing?
Me: Just putting somethings in place before the arrival of my guest
Ayomide: Hmmmm! Put it well ooo
Me: ****Smiling**** The next time i will call you, just tell me you and in Abeokuta
Ayomide: Even if am still at home
Me: Yes
Ayomide: ****We both laughed****
Me: No prob! Till you come
Ayomide: Alright
Me: Take care of yourself
Ayomide: I will
Me: Bye
Ayomide: Bye
Just after i dropped the phone, My neighbour came out of her room.
Mummy Teni: Neighbour! Why won’t you allow me to sleep with this aroma of yours
Me: ****Laughing**** Abi ooo
Mummy Teni: Good morning sir
Me: Morning ma, how was your night
Mummy Teni: Fine ooo, what about you
Me: It was cool! Thanks for yesternight, you really got my back
Mummy Teni: You welcome jare, what are you even cooking ****Joining me in the kitchen**** Ha! Fried Rice…
Me: ****Smiling****
Mummy Teni: “Are you having a visitor” She asked jokingly
Me: “And must i have a visitor before cook fried rice?’ I asked.
Mummy Teni: So tell me! Have ever cooked fried rice since you came into this barracks
Me: ****Both of us laughing****
****This my neighbour is kinda smart****
Mummy Teni: You better tell me now if you wife is coming to pay you a visit so that we can start preparing. Moreover, i have not set my eyes on any Lady since you came into this barracks
Me: ****I knows she likes me for that**** Ok ooo! Am having a visitor but she’s just a friend
Mummy Teni: Ok! Extend my greetings to her when she comes ooo
Me: Trust me na! I will let you know when she is around
Mummy Teni: Alright
Me: I will return your food flask with my delicious meal when am done
Mummy Teni: “That i will not even eat inside this your fried rice. Unless you did not want to receive any visitor here” She said jokingly.
Me: ****Laughing**** Alright ooo Neighbour
Mummy Teni: ****Going back to her room**** Make is snappy!
Me: Alright ma
I continued with my cooking and after some minutes, my phone started ringing, i looked at the screen and it was Peter. “Make this guy no go fall my hand ooo” i thought to myself before picking the call.

****On Call****
Peter: Guy how far
Me: Am cool
Peter: I just wanna ask if your Sama(Babe) is still coming
Me: Sure! I will call you as soon as she arrived
Peter: Ok baba, No P!
Me: Alright na
Peter: Hanged up
I quickly round up with the cooking, dish my neighbour’s own in her food flask, “thank me later” i said jokingly while i handed over the flask to her. I rushed to the bathroom to take my shower, i spent about 15 minutes in there as if i wants to bleach. I came out, dressed up in a nice jean with a perfect t-shirt, spray my perfume and at the same time applied a my room spray. “Abeg Nepa, make una no f--k me up ooo” I said to myself. I decided to watch film and at the same time anticipated her call. At about 09:40 am, Ayomide called!
Me: Baby girl
Ayomide: I’m in Abeokuta, am already on bike to the address you sent to me earlier
Me: “No problem dear, just give a call as soon as you get there, a friend of mine will come and pick you up
Ayomide: Alright
I called peter immediately and his number wasn’t reachable. I tried his second line and it wasn’t reachable as well, “Chai, this guy na b-----d ooo, why did he off his phone this die minute” I murmured looking pissed off. “Ok! Let me rush and check him at home” i thought immediately. I picked up my bike key, make way downstair and headed to his house. I did not even bother to knock when i got to his house, i just open his door and entered inside. I met him playing game with his laptop.
Me: “What the hell is wrong with you” I barked at him!
Peter: ****Surprised**** Guy what happened na
Me: Na water happen! Why was your line switch off
Peter: Oh boi! ****He picked of his phones and checked the screen**** “Omo i did not know that this stupid phone is off ooo, No ves jare, she don show?” He ask smiling at me!
Me: Idiot! Go and pick her joor, yeye Soldier!
Peter: “Hope this girl will not even kill you, this one that you want to kill me because of your girl like this” He said jokingly!
Me: It’s non of your business idiot, just go and pick her
Peter: No prob mad man! Let me start going
****We both laughed****
Me: Alright
I retired back to my house immediately, i was about entering inside when i received a text message. I opened it and it was no one but Ayomide, “Come and pick me, am there” was the content of the text. I called Peter immediately and informed him, “Chill! I’m close” he replied and hanged up. I then call Ayomide and informed her that someone is coming to pick her up and he will be there shortly. Not up to a minutes! Peter called me.
Me: How far
Peter: I’ve the package
Me: Alright, Thanks!
Peter: ****Hanged up****
I sat down on my chair, i was enjoying West life music, after some minutes, i heard a knock on my door. I stood up, reduced the volume of my music, adjust my cloth, walk to the door and opened it.
Behold! Ayomide appeared in a mini gown, looking like an Angel sent from above, i couldn’t help myself as i stare at her from head to toes. Her front view alone can make a married man commit an adultery, not to talk of her back side. “Come inside” i raised the curtain! Peter winked at me! “Catch you later bro” we shook hands before he took is leave.
I entered inside and locked the door, Ayomide was still standing!
Me: “Have your seat or are you afraid of sitting down” i ordered her.
Ayomide: “Nice interior, your room smells nice, well arranged” that was all she said before taking her seat.
Me: “Thank you dear ” i replied.
Ayomide: You’re welcome!
Me: So! How was your journey? ****Opening my refrigerator, brought out a five alive juice, pick a glass cup, dropped it on the table and served her****
Ayomide: Fine!
Me: Let’s thank God for journey mercy
Ayomide: Yeah ****Sipping her juice****
She was starring at the television and at the same time feeling the underground west life music i was playing. We continued gisting for a while before i stood up and make way to the kitchen, i dish the food for both of us, put it in a tray and brought it to the parlour.
Me: Let’s eat ****Opening the food**** The aroma coming out of the food was enough to satisfy a hungry person.
Ayomide: Where did you get this food?
Me: ****See jamb question**** I cooked it!
Ayomide: Really?
Me: Yes!
Ayomide: Waoo! You are a good cook
****Eating****
Me: ****Smiling**** Thank you
After having a nice breakfast with her, i pack the dishes to the kitchen, i was about entering the parlour. I stopped by the door and took a deep breath. “Back to business, Now! Let me do the needful” i said to myself before entering!

I entered the parlour and sat down beside her, looking at each other, she could feel the love & affection i have for her, i turned and face her, then grab her hands, looked into her eyes, i was carried away by her beauty, and at long last, i broke the silence.
Me: Ay
Ayomide: Yes
Me: Honestly! I’ve been try to hide my feelings for you since all this while but i can’t just control myself. Baby! I see true love in your eyes, i don’t think my eyes and my heart are deceiving me. Form the day we met at the Mr Biggs, I’ve started having a strong affection for you. I tried my best not to feel anything for you but I failed, i truly need you by my side.
Ayomide! I love so much! I want to spend the rest of my life with you!
Ayomide: ****Silence****
Me: ****Shaking her hands** Please! This love is for real!
Ayomide: What took you so long
Me: Am so sorry, i was afraid!
****Happy**** “So this girl has fallen for me since all this while” I thought to myself.
We both stood up, i was still holding her hands, we looked at each other speechlessly, and then i gave her a passionate hug. After some seconds, i drew back, looked into her eyes, i clearly see true love and we started kissing each other.
“To new love, relationship, friendship, everlasting joy and God’s approval” she said joyfully as we toast with two cups of juice and we both smile. That particular moment was extremely great, I’ve never have such feelings for a Lady before. It was as if i was in the Paradise.
*****my hands around her waist*****
*****her hands across my neck*****
Ayomide: Gabriel! Promise me you won’t leave me
Me: I swear with my life
Ayomide: Are you sure?
Me: 101% dear, I’m giving u my words
Ayomide: I love you
Me: Love you too
We continued kissing, i lifted her up and dropped her on my bed in the bedroom, we continue kissing as if that was going to be the last day we will kiss each other. We were so deep in the kiss that she couldn’t control herself any longer, i raise her gown up and i was about doing the needful when she tapped my hand, she regained herself, sat upright and adjusted her cloth.
Ayomide: Not now, not today please
Me: Why not
Ayomide: Nothing
Me: ****Curious**** Why can’t you tell me now
Ayomide: Did you truly love me with your whole heart
Me: ****Move close to her**** My left hand on her chick, ****I took a deep breath**** Ayomide it is you or no one, I’m giving you my words, i did not have the intention of taking advantage of you in any way. I so much love you. Without you, my life will be like a broken pencil, Pointless…
****Tears from nowhere formed in my eyes, I just wanted to pour our out my heart****
Ayomide: ****Stopped the tears from rolling down**** She couldn’t alter a word
Me: Give me your heart and i promise never to let you down
Ayomide: You can have it, but there is one thing
Me What’s that dear, just tell me
Ayomide: ****Deep breath**** Can you withstand the fact that i still have my virginity intact
Me: What did you just say it intact? Ayomide: My Virginity
Me: ****Smiling**** Are you kidding me?

Astray In Love Season 4

No doubt! This journey remains the best I’ve ever embarked on in my life, full of fun till we got to Abeokuta in Ogun State. Most of the instructors that knew me when our screening was conducted were asking me how i make it back to my own state, “Oga na God ooo” I replied with a smiling face. The work is pretty cool, routines such as morning physical training (PT) are carried out three times in a week and evening games two times in a week. Monday, Wednesday and Fridays are always for morning PT while Tuesday and Thursdays are for Evening games. At morning PT, normal jugging and light exercise are observed for about 1 hour 15 minutes while Games like football, handball, volleyball, table tennis, Boxing and so on are observed at evening games. Work resumed by 08:45am on morning PT days and 07:45 on non morning PT days. Evening games on the other hand is schedule to hold by 4pm on it’s days. While i resumed at work by 07:45am and closed by 02:00pm, i wondered if am still in secondary school. Everything is simply simple and straight with timing. Once you find yourself late for any activities, the guardroom (place where offenders are kept) will be your best friend for that day. We still received lectures as if we are still on course, i wasn’t comfortable about the lectures because i found out that the same thing we were been thought in Kaduna are the same thing they are still teaching us.

One day, i decided to ask why we can’t just leave all this things aside and move on with another topic since everyone of us have understood the message they are trying to pass across to us. On asking the question, the instructor ask the class to give me a round of applause, everybody wondered why they are clapping for me when the guardroom supposed to be my best friend throughout the day for asking such stupid question. To them, the question sounds stupid and awkward but the the instructor, it really means i have been paying attention to what I’m been thought right from Artillery school. “The corp of Artillery is a very delicate corp as no single iota of mistake will be tolerate in the battle field. The corp required us to fire our target without seeing it and at the same time fire over our friendly forces. If a single mistake occur in the computing then there is every possibilities that the shot will land on our friendly forces and you all know what that means.” The instructor explained. We all nodded our head in positive with amazed. “That is why our slogan remains the “Corp of Proud Professional” because we don’t make mistake.” The instructor further explained!
“Gabriel, you just justify the second position you obtained in Kaduna” He commended me. All eyes was on me, i feel blushed.
I’ve already settled down after four months, my parlour well arranged with a 32 inches plasma television, a set of home sound system, portable refrigerator with juice and fruits inside, shinning curtain, rug carpet, 14 inches standing fan and a beautiful center table. My bedroom holds a 6 by 6 14 inches mattress, a small bedroom refrigerator and other thing that beautify a room. I don’t know why i was arranging my house to impress Ayomide, i have been thinking of inviting her down to my place but i was just taking my time. Since i met her at Mr Biggs, i haven’t set my eyes on her again, we only keep phone conversation and WhatApp chat.
I have make up my mind to make my intention known to her whenever she comes. Play the first home match if possible at the same time.
I picked up my phone and dialled her number.

Me: ****Calling Ayomide****
Ayomide: Hello oga soldier
Me: Baby girl, what’s up
Ayomide: Am cool and you
Me: Fine jare, how was your day
Ayomide: We thank Baba God ooo
Me: That’s nice
Ayomide: And how is Abeokuta?
Me: Abeokuta is fine ooo, life here is pretty simple most especially in the barracks
Ayomide: Really
Me: Yeah! Not like sango “You know what i mean now” I murmured jokingly.
Ayomide: You are not serious ****We both laugh**** So what’s the latest?
Me: Hmmmm! The latest is, i want you to come to Abeokuta
Ayomide: “To do what?” She asked surprisingly
Me: I just want to see you
Ayomide: Me! “Come to Abk” she asked curiously. Moreover! If u want to see me, you know my house
Me: ***She wan dey form innocent be that*** No now! it’s not like that
Ayomide: Then is like how
Me: You know am a young soldier, i cannot start applying for pass now. Moreover, they will think i want to start taking an advantage of the fact that am serving in my state.
Ayomide: That’s true, you have a point
Me: ***Chai! I be Baddo*** So that’s why… Infact I’ve missed you self
Ayomide: ***Smiling*** What did u miss about me
Me: Don’t worry, i will tell you when u come
Ayomide: So! When did u want me to come
Me: On Saturday!
Ayomide: ****Hmmmm**** Today is Tuesday, I will think about it and give you feedback on Friday
Me: Alright dear i will be expecting
Ayomide: Ok
Me: So where are you now
Ayomide: At home
Me: Doing what
Ayomide: Just lying down. What about you
Me: Soldier’s Club
Ayomide: Soldier’s Club?
Me: Yes
Ayomide: What are you doing there
Me: Just having fun, playing snooker
Ayomide: Hmmm….
Me: Any prob about that
Ayomide: Not at all
Me: Alright dear
Ayomide: Just take care of yourself
Me: I will! And u too
Ayomide: Alright

Ayomide: Bye
Me: Hung Up…
It was past 8 already, i left soldier’s club for my house. When i got home, i was tired and unable to cook, i decided to check on Mummy Teni if she has something in her kitchen that she can offer me, Mummy Teni is my neighbour, i stayed in room 1 while she stays in room 2, her husband was among those who conducted our screening exercise but unfortunately for him, he was nominated to Maiduguri for an internal operation before i came back form training. Mummy Teni and i have been so closed since the very first day i moved into that my room. We do call eachother Neighbour by name…
Me: ****Knocking at her door****
Mummy Teni: Who is that
Me: Neighbour! Neighbour!!
Mummy Teni: Neighbour?
Me: Abeg con open door joor
Mummy Teni: ****Door opens****
Me: Good evening ma
Mummy Teni: Good evening ***Paving way for me to enter inside***
Me: I thought you would have slept
Mummy Teni: I just want to finish with this film before i go to bed jare
Me: Alright! Where is Teni
Mummy Teni: He’s inside sleeping
Me: Sleepy Sleepy
Mummy Teni: ***Laughing*** Leave my son alone ooo. Where are you coming from by this time of the day
Me: Soldier’s Club
Mummy Teni: Ok
Me: Please is there anything eatable in this house
Mummy Teni: Yes! I cooked beans in the evening, should i bring it for you
Me: You still asking again, what brought me here if not food
Mummy Teni: ***Smiling*** You will not kill me
Me: Abeg bring package it for me jare
Mummy Teni: Went into the kitchen and came out with a flask
Me: That’s why i like my neighbour
Mummy Teni: Na you sabi
Me: Till tomorrow jare
Mummy Teni: Alright good night
Me: Thanks so much, good night!
Mummy Teni: ***Shut the door***
After i finished eating, I sat down on my bed, initiated a chat with Ayomide. She replied instantly as if she has been waiting for my message, we chatted for about 30 minutes before i slept off.

It’s was as if Saturday will not come, all the days was kind of slow, i had make an arrangement with Peter, one of my course mate to help me pick Ayomide as soon as she got to the junction next to our barracks in order to avoid security check at the gate. He assured me that there will be no f--k up and that he is going to carry out mission perfectly.
On Thursday, i decided to go to a nearby market to buy fried rice ingredient, I’m very good in cooking, i learnt how to cook good food when i was staying with my aunty that attended a catering school. I’ve been rehearsing on how everything is going to look like that day, it was all funny as i was displaying in my room alone as if am crazy. That night, i called her in order to remind her if she hasn’t forget about her coming on Saturday. “Am working towards it” She replied.
On Friday, I made everything i needed available, i purchased a kilo of turkey at the mami market (mini market right in front of the barracks gate), I fried it and preserved it inside my refrigerator. Later in the evening, i was arranging some of the music I’m going to play when she comes. I heard my phone ringing from the bedroom, “maybe she is the one calling ooo” i murmured while i rush to pick it up. I look at the screen and it was Ayomide, i took a deep breath before i picked the call.
Me: Hmmm! Baby Girl…
Ayomide: How far
Me: Am cool, U?
Ayomide: Fine!
Me: How u doing?
Ayomide: Great! I just want to tell u that i will be coming over tomorrow
Me: ****Very Happy**** Waoo! What time are u coming?
Ayomide: Hmmm! Around 10:00am
Me: Haba! 10? “Y can’t you make it 08:00am.” I requested happily
Ayomide: ****Smiling**** “Why don’t you ask me to start coming by 04:00am” She replied jokingly.
Me: Ok! Let make it 09:00am
Ayomide: Ok i will try
Me: Alright! Honestly I can’t wait to see you
Ayomide: ***Smiling*** Tomorrow is here na
Me: I just want to close my eyes and see you by the time i will open it
Ayomide: ****Laughing****
Me: ****Laughing**** Am serious!
Ayomide: Just chill! Tomorrow is around the corner
Me: Alright dear
Ayomide: So what are you going to prepare for me
Me: Anything you want
Ayomide: ****Smiling**** Fried rice and chicken
Me: ****Thank God ooo**** Done!
Ayomide: Funny you. Where will u get it from
Me: Wait and see
Ayomide: Ok! I’ve heard you
Me: I have to be on my way to tattoo now
“Tattoo is a gathering mandatory for all soldiers in the barracks, late in the evening every blessed day”
Ayomide: Alright! Start going so that you won’t be late
Me: Bye Dear
Ayomide: Bye

I couldn’t held how joyful i am, it was as if a President’s daughter is coming to pay me a visit, i just can wait to see tomorrow. After tattoo that night, i met with peter and briefed him about how everything is going to work out as planed. I gave him Ayomide’s phone number, do not call her until you get to the that junction tomorrow. “No problem” he replied. “I will call and inform you as soon as she got to the place so that you will go and pick her up” i concluded. Peter’s block and mine is a little bit close to each other, he made way to his house when he got to the junction of house.
I slept around 08:40pm, only to woke up and found out that is just 11:50pm. “So i have been sleep for just 3 hours since i slept.” I murmured angrily while coming out of the toilet and i went back to bed.

Astray In Love Season 3

It was all fun as all my friends that heard that am back came to say hi to me, i earned a lot of respect from both elders and younger ones. I have make an arrangement to be going back to kaduna on the fifth day, spend the sixth day on road and rest on the seventh day before resuming back. A day before i decided to leave for Kaduna, i went out to buy my younger ones snacks at Mr Biggs in Sango. After buying everything i needed, on coming out of the Mr Biggs, i saw one of my secondary school mate. Her name is Ayomide, she was a commercial student while am a science student. I was so surprise as she has change drastically, her face, her b**bs and everything thing about her has changed totally. Not like when we are in school that everything looks small. I called her name!
Me: Ayomide!…
Ayomide: T Boy! What’s up (In an amazing voice)
Me: Ayomide!… (Surprised)
Ayomide:
Me: Waoo! Longest time
Ayomide: Abi ooo
Me: U looking cute
Ayomide: Thank!
Me: Oh boy! Gone are those days in school when u look small but now you have chop up
Ayomide: (Smiling) Funny u! You’re not serious
Me: So where u heading to
Ayomide: Am going to a friend’s house
Me: Really!
Ayomide: Yes, What about you
Me: I just came to bought some things for my younger ones here (Pointing at the Mr Biggs)
Ayomide: That’s nice
Me: Come on! Let go inside
Ayomide: Ok
Me: Hope you not in hurry
Ayomide: Not at all
Me: Alright
We entered inside the Mr Biggs and we sat down at the extreme end, I asked her what she would like to take and she said she’s ok with soft drink. I stood up and walked to the attendant, i asked him to give me one sprite with one table water and two meat pie. I asked him to prepare another ice cream and keep it aside. I returned back to the table where we sat down with what i ordered, i served her and we started gisting. We gisted about our school life back then, our teachers and how wicked they are, we both laughed. I asked her if she had gained an admission into university and she said she is still in the admission market. “What about you” she asked. I’m now a soldier, infact i just came to see my families. She was very surprised, “all within this short period” she asked in a surprised manner. “Na God ooo” i replied her with a smile on my face.
We’ve already spent close to an hour, she looked at her wrist watch and said “T boy, i have to go now”. Sure, i should also be on my way now. We both stood up and headed towards the entrance, i stopped by to collect the ice cream i paid for, i collected it and gave it to her. When we got outside!
Ayomide: Thanks so much am very grateful
Me: You are welcome dear! Less i forgot, please can i have your digit
Ayomide: Sure
Me: (Removing my phone from pocket)
Ayomide: (Collected my phone) +234080********
Me: Collected my phone from her, dialing her number
Ayomide: (Phone Rings)
Me: Alright! That’s my number
Ayomide: I will save it
Me: I will give you a call later in the day
Ayomide: I will be expecting
Me: Just take care of yourself
Ayomide: Sure! I will
Me: Bye
I make way to my house, i stopped and turned around to see her again. This girl is f-----g making sense, see as everything about her is just tempting, i think i have to give her a second thought, “i can’t allow this fish to pass me by”, I thought to my self as i stopped a bike man.

Little did i know that, that is the beginning of my problem….

Later at night, i called Ayomide and we spoked for about ten minutes. All that happened earlier that day kept on flashing through my memory, i was just imagining if it was the same girl i knew back then in secondary school, i started feeling like seeing her that present moment. “Does is it mean that I’m liking this girl or what”, I asked myself! I just can’t bear the feelings I’m developing for this girl, i closed my eyes (still imagining) and i slept off. I woke up in the morning, brush my teeth, took my bath, dressed up and ready to leave for Kaduna State. All my mum will offer me is prayer for journey mercy “i thought to myself”. After my mum prayed for me. My twin brother wanted to help me with some things to the park but i told him not to worry because the bags are not that heavy. That morning it was like am leaving something behind, the thought of Ayomide keep running through my mind. When i boarded Oyigbo bus, i decided to check if the number she gave me was on WhatApp. I opened my WhatApp application and refresh my contact list, i saw her name and i message her. It took her 16 minutes before she reply my message.
Me: Baby Girl
Ayomide: T how far
Me: Am fine and you
Ayomide: Cool
Me: How was your night?
Ayomide: Super B and yours
Me: Splendid
Ayomide: Glory be to God
Me: I just want to inform you that am on my way back to Kaduna
Ayomide: Really! Where are you now
Me: I’m inside Oyigbo vehicle
Ayomide: Alright! wish you Journey mercy
Me: Thank Dear
Ayomide: You welcome
Me: I will call you later
Ayomide: No problem
Me: Take care of yourself
Ayomide: Alright and you too
Me: Bye Dear
Ayomide: Bye

When i got to Abuja it was almost late at night, i have been sleeping since all this while. I removed phone from my pocket and i was surprise when i saw five messages from Ayomide on my WhatApp. I replied her immediately telling her that am sorry for not replying her messages since and that i was sleeping then. She came online and we chatted for about 20 minutes before she went offline. I got to kaduna at exactly 3:26am, i slept in the vehicle till morning before i proceeded to Kachia LGA. I called my mum and the rest of my family to inform them that i arrived at Kaduna safely, i called Ayomide as well and she was happy, she advice me to be a gentle boy, we both laughed together. I have to put some things in place now, i said to her before i hung up.
Most of us came back that very day while the rest joined us the last day. Class begins as usual on Monday and our passing out is fast approaching. After the third week in our last month, our passing out date that was announced, that’s a day everyone has been waiting for. The best student will be given an award as it was announced earlier when we were inducted into the course. That same day, our posting to our various unit will be made known to us.
On our passing out day, the first, second and third position was announced. I took the second position in a class of 130 students but i wasn’t that happy because i felt am far better than the soldier i lost the first position to. Award was presented to each of us with a sum of thirty, Sixty and a hundred thousand naira for the third, second and first position respectively by the school commandant. “I give all glory to God” was the last line of my vote of thanks.
Later that evening, we all assemble at the Headquarters in other to listen to where we were posted to. The names are going to be called in alphabetical order and i know i have to be attentive because my surname starts with letter “E”.
After calling about 23 names, i heard my name and my heart skipped, my ears were long and my eyes widely opened. “Gunner Elegbede Gabriel” i answered Sir. My unit was called. I sounds like “WHAT” (In a low voice).

I was posted back to Abeokuta, Ogun State. “Your state of origin” Gunner Emmanuel Whisper’s into my ear, i nodded in positive. “How could that be” Emmanuel asked me after we were been dismissed. “I don’t f-----g know” I replied. “We all know that we are fighting insecurity in the country, Bornu, Yobe and Adamawa States are the major states that most of us were posted to, some of them have started crying. Moreover, it has never happened in the history of Nigeria army that a newly passed out soldier was posted back to his own state to go and serve there”. Emmanuel further explained. Me myself wasn’t happy about it because i thought of the fact that i will be a little bit close to my hometown and to where my families resides, i wanted to serve in the eastern or northern part of the country where i will have to meet new people, learn different languages and most of all live an independent life. “Should i go and complaint so that it will be amend.” I thought to myself. While i was thinking about all these things, something brought Ayomide’s thought to mind. “This is an opportunity for me, at least i will be close to her, i will have upper hand to carry out my mission, I will even be able to visit her in Sango anytime i feel like” I thought to myself. It looks as if the thought alone ease my pain, i smile to myself. “I guess it God’s will” I concluded.
We left Kaduna the third day after our passing out, the journey from Kachia Kaduna State to Abeokuta Ogun State was stress free as a long luxurious bus was arranged for only 35 soldiers going to Abeokuta. I engaged myself with games and videos on my phone in order to keep the journey lively. I decided to called Ayomide and informed her about my posting as i have called my mum and my twin brother late that day after our posting has been announced in order to informed them.
Me: Dialing her Number (Ringing)
Ayomide: Hello
Me: Yeah baby girl
Ayomide: How far
Me: Cool here and u
Ayomide: Fine as well
Me: How are your families
Ayomide: They are all fine and what about yours
Me: Glory be to God
Ayomide: Where are you, i can hear the sound of vehicles
Me: Yeah! I just call to inform you that I’m through with my course and i have been posted to my unit.
Ayomide: Waoo! That nice, so how was the course, hope u did not let me down
Me: Laughing! Trust me now
Ayomide: Sure! I trust u. So how did it finish
Me: Glory be to God, Second position!
Ayomide: Waoo! (Shouting) That’s a very good one
Me: Thanks dear
Ayomide: Aren’t you going to celebrate that for me
Me: Laughing! Sure i will…
Ayomide: How many are you guys
Me: We’re just 130
Ayomide: WTF! Second position in a class of 130
Me: Yes
Ayomide: Gabriel you really tried ooo
Me: Thanks dear
Ayomide: U welcome! So where are you posted to
Me: Guess?
Ayomide: Hmmmmm!
Me: *(Silence)*
Ayomide: Don’t tell me is Maiduguri ooo
Me: No
Ayomide: Northeast!
Me: No
Ayomide: Then where now
Me: Hmmmm! (Smiling)
Ayomide: Talk joor
Me: Abeokuta!
Ayomide: Are u kidding me
Me: Am serious
Ayomide: Really
Me: Yes
Ayomide: Waoo! Thank God for you ooo. Your parents will be happy
Me: I did not even like it, i wanted to go to northeast
Ayomide: U are not serious, instead of you to be happy and thank God at the same time, you are here wishing yourself bad luck
Me: Hmmm! Who knows may be you are even the one that pray so that they will bring me close to you
Ayomide: Me! What is my problem with your posting
Me: Laughing! Don’t worry….
Ayomide: Funny you (In an awkward manner)
Me: Am in the vehicle now, on our way to Abeokuta
Ayomide: Alright wish you a safe journey
Me: Thank you! I will chat you later
Ayomide: No problem! Bye…
Me: Bye…
“Yes! At least i have make a move, she should know i am up to something” I said to my self after i hanged up.

Astray In Love Season 2

I came back from site around 4pm, i met my mum at home and i ask her if she was able to raise anything. She gave me the sum of 6,000 Naira, i added it to this 4,000 Naira Bode gave to me at the site including the 1,500 that was given to me by bode boss for the work i did. I went straight to the market and purchased all that i needed. The next morning, i dressed up and i was about leaving when my mum started crying, i asked her why she was crying and she said she heard that people use to die or got their legs broken in Depot Nigeria Army. I smile, patted her shoulder and told her that all i needed is her prayer, she then pray for me for about 5 minutes and i cut her short. I told her i have to leave now in order for me not to be late. Kenny help me to the park with my bags and i left for Abeokuta.

We were properly checked before entering the luxurious bus, it was my first time entering it as i have not embark on a long distance journey before. We go to kaduna after about 16 hours drive, we all form one single line as we moved into the training premises with out bags on our head.
Inside there was a different world entirely as we are going to spend our 6 months of training without stepping out till we finish. The first training we received was the removal of our civilian mentality and replacing it with Military mentality, that day wasn’t funny at all, it was that same day i realized why soldiers are always wicked and the reason why they don’t take nonsense from any bloody civilian. We were been addressed as recruit, that’s the general title giving to everybody in training and not until you pass out before that title will be lifted and replaced with your rank.
Two months gone and it still looks like i have just spent 2 years and i will still have to spend another 4 years, it was hell but i kept on enduring because i have to make a lot of people proud, making my mum proud remains my number 1 priority. I kept on following the adage that says to be a man is not a day job and that nothing good comes easy. These words keep moving me and pushing me beyond my limit even wen i felt i can’t meet up with one or two task given to me. One day i said to myself, truly! WHO NO COME NO GO KNOW!
Five months gone and i started seeing my self as a soldier because we are been treated like a soldier. No more beating, we dress well to class, we now putting on Camouflage, everyday Rehearsal on our passing out parade (POP). I can’t just imagine myself becoming a soldier in one month time, it’s a dream to come true.

At last! I’m a soldier! I can’t believed what my eyes are seeing, If u have ever gone through what i went through then u would know what i meant. Victory is from God alone, I said to myself while i change to civil wears. I wanted to go and explore the town for the past 6 months. The next day, those of us that were posted to the corps of Artillery were ordered to pack our belongings as our vehicles are ready and we will be moving to Kachia LGA there in Kaduna State. We got to the barracks and were welcomed to the corps school. The Admin Officer told us that where we are now is the Corps of Artillery school and here is where we will be attending all our courses throughout our carrier as an artillery soldier. He further explained that we will be here for the duration of 3 months and all we will learn is the basic things about the corps. From the way am seeing things, it all getting interesting as i am now expose into new life entirely.

Lecture and training begins with immediate effect but this time around, not as a recruit but as soldier. Learning continues day by day, always putting in my best in everything as the best student will be determined at the end of the course. All this while, i called my mum only when am less busy and when i felt like talking to her including my twin brother. I did not permit anyone to call me at his or her own time because i might be in class or probably be engaged in one or two things. I continue like this for one month and two weeks. In the third week of the second month, it was announced that we are going to have a course break. Having course break simply means we will be given passes to travled to our destination of choice for a period of 7 days.
By the time we come back, we will round up with the remaining one month and pass out. When the issue of pass came up i was very happy because it an opportunity for me to see my family after about 8 months that i have left them. I decide to make it a surprise to them as I’m not going to inform anybody about my coming home. It was on Tuesday, the week we will be given passes, they brought forms for everyone to fill with a column indicating our place traveled intended. Here comes Friday, our passes are ready, i left Kaduna that very day and arrived at lagos the next day. I proceeded to sango that morning and everybody was surprise to see me, to them it looks like a king has just arrived. My mum was very happy on seeing me, i hugged her and she started crying, my twin brother was a little bit afraid of me, we all laughed while we moved into the sitting room where they all welcomed me. Did my dad just laugh and welcomed me? i greeted him but it wasn’t coming from my mind. I was still angry about the fact that he did not contributed anything as a father to my success. After i spent two days at home i wasn’t happy and comfortable with my dad as i always feel like giving him frog jump or forward roll anytime i set my eyes on him. My mum kept persuading me that i should forgive and forget but i told her i will only forgive but i will never forget. He wasn’t even ashamed of himself, he boasted up and down that he has a child that he’s a soldier.

He wanted me to visit some of his friends and his boss but i turned him down, making him to realized his worst mistake ever of not been caring and not taking is due responsibilities as a father on me and the rest of his children. The next day i pay a surprise visit to bode, he was very happy to the extent that he called all his friend ask them to touch him if they will not die within a tinkle of an eye, we all laugh together. I asked him to dressed up so that we can at least have go out and have fun. All this while, i was putting on my camouflage up and down as i was proud of who i had becomed.
We entered a relaxing cool spot where pepper soup and beer are been sold, i ordered plates of pepper soup and beers for all of them, bode was surprise and at the same time afraid of who is going to pay the bill, i told him to calm down that the bill is on me. We then enjoyed ourself, it was all fun when all my friends are drinking beer but a soldier is drinking Coke. I paid the bill and we all left the place for our various home. On going home, i gave bode the sum of 15,000 Naira just to compensate the effort and help he rendered when i needed him back then before i left for training. He was so happy, he was thanking me and i told him if not for God and for him, i wouldn’t have been where i am today. We departed along the road when he got to the junction to his house and i also left for my house.

Astray In Love Season 1

It was a day i have been waiting for, the final list is yet to be announced as we all gathered at the Medical Reception Center inside the barracks awaiting the arrival Commander in charge of the screening exercise to come out with the list of the successful applicants that will be going to Depot Nigeria Army in Zaria, Kaduna State. The tension was high at that moment as everybody was praying seriously, i couldn’t help myself that very moment because i have suffered a lot to get to the last stage of the screening exercise. I kept on hoping in God for a better result, the tension was still very very high when the Brigadier General came out of the office with the list in is hand.
My heart was beating faster as if it’s going to pound out, everywhere was silent like a grave yard as we all listen to the General. After commending our effort, He handed over the list to the physical training officer and he started calling out the names!

Lagos, Ondo and Ogun state were the three states that took part in the exercise, Lagos state list came first, followed by Ondo state and then my state Ogun state. My name was number 8th on the list, out of 95 selected applicant from each state. I was very happy and at the same time unhappy. I was happy because in the next 6 months, my dream of becoming a soldier will come true but i was unhappy because out of 7 of us staying in a room during the exercise, i was the only shortlisted applicant. How do i celebrate my victory among the rest of my friends when they did not make the final list. The General addressed all successful applicants again and congratulated us, he further exclaimed that it is not our effort that brought us to the last stage as there are lot of people out there that are still better than us but God has choosen us and we should give all thanks to God.
He ordered the officer to give each of us the list of requirements we are to come along with next tomorrow. We will all assembly at the same spot and move to Kaduna state for the full training. He then dismissed us and we all went to our various ways after the collection of the requirements list. I called my mum to inform her of the successful completion of the screening and that i have been shortlisted among the applicants. She was happy and i told her that i will be in Sango in some minutes time, Abeokuta to Sango is just about 45 minutes drive. I left the barracks immediately in order for me to b able to prepare against next tomorrow because i still need to put somethings in place and at the same time hustle for money so that i can buy the required items.

When i got home my mum welcomed me, she asked me if i have informed my twin brother and i said yes. I am Taiwo while my twin brother is Kenny. We not too identical and that’s why i don’t normally do things together despite the fact that we came to this world with the same placenta. My dad on the other hand wasn’t on my side, he wasn’t even the one that signed my form when i purchased it. All these things happened because he choose not to value is own children, i persuaded my elder brother to do the signing aspect for me. When i told my dad about my plans, he did not alter a single word, he just look at me and continue watching is television. I left him with the determination that i will go and come back and he will be surprise by my progress.
That night i place a call to one of my friend, is name is bode, we went to the same secondary school, bode did not have the intension of going to high institution right from our secondary just because he knew he is not that good academically. He has made up is mind to go and learn bricklayer as soon as he finishes with his final examination (WAEC). While the phone is still ringing the thought of getting a positive answer ran through my mind.

Me: Phone still Ringing
Bode: Hello
Me: Guy how far now
Bode: Bobo I’m fine ooo
Me: How is your side
Bode: Not too bad.. We’re pushing it little by little
Me: Let just keep thanking God for the gift of life

Bode: Haba! u be my padi now, just name it i will give u if i have it
Me: U know i told u about my plan joining the Army
Bode: Yeap! Sure!! Sure!!! The tin don work?
Me: Yes! Am shortlisted among the successful applicant
Bode: Guy congratulation ooo… At least if u come back i will be looking for troubles especially those omo onile (Area Boys) that use to disturb us at site.
Me: Leave me alone! That’s not my problem
Bode: Then what’s your problem, u suppose to be happy by now.
Me: We are asked to report back to Abeokuta next tomorrow with some required items and we will be leaving for Kaduna that same day. But my main problem is that i did not have enough money to get all those things we were asked to bring.
Bode: That’s a big problem ooo
Me: Am telling u
Bode: So what’s the next thing now
Me: I don’t know if i can follow you to site tomorrow so that i will work as a labourer, at least i will use the money to buy some of those items
Bode: That’s a good idea brother! I will tell my boss about it as soon as we dropped now. I’m very sure he would allow you
Me: Thanks so much ( In a soft voice)
Bode: You welcome! So how did u intend getting the rest of the money
Me: I have called my elder brother and my elder sister but no positive response. My mum said she will also look for means by tomorrow morning
Bode: Ok! I will come along with the 4,000 Naira am having too. I will give it to you tomorrow at site
Me: Thanks so much, am very very grateful
Bode: That’s why we are friends
Me: Thanks so much
Bode: No problem brother Good night!
Me: Good night, see you tomorrow
Bode: Alright…. Hang Up….

I was very happy at that moment. Bode is indeed a good friend, i thought to myself.

4 ways to keep your skin healthy while enduring Esut scotching sun

It's not fallacy, while others chant their heaven on Esut students keep screaming there is hell in campus. With the constant rise in temperature on daily basis, most Esut students especially those who can't afford the cab or tri-cycle (keke) would think they are already in hell.

You don't have to worry much, we care about  you and we are out with amazing steps to take if you want to stay away from skin damage and cancer.

  1.  Keep yourself hydrated always
It is simple and easy, always have a bottle or plastic water with you at all time when you tour round Esut, if you can afford that, you don't have to worry there is always somewhere around the campus to get a sachet water. But if that proves affordable, just look for a clean empty can and fill up with water keep it by your side at all time to save you from dehydration. While in Esut make sure you always have water at your disposal always as such is necessary for survival.

      2. Wear light clothes

Wearing light clothes is one thing that could save you from those disgusting heat. It will help  reduce the quality of heat and radiation you will have to absorb.

     3. Avoid oily and bleaching creams

You are not suppose to be exposed to excessive sunlight when you are bleaching your skin.
Exposure to sunlight while on bleaching creams will increase the chance of skin damage and skin cancer. Oily creams are not recommended, they will increase the heat and body temperature and such is not commendable

     4. Take cold baths when you get back
Cold baths will send heart throbbing sensations to your skin after being cramped by the hot tempered sun. Taking cold baths are highly recommended cause it reduces the body temperature and nourishes the skin.
